Biographical History
The Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Szczecin (Polnisches Consulate in Stettin (German)was operating in the interwar period in Szczecin. The Consular office in the rank of consular agency was established in 1925 to represent Polish affairs in the German Pomeranian Province (Pommern Provinces) and in the Szczecin region in particular. In 1927 the institution was raised to the rank of vice-consul, and in 1928-the consulate, and was operated until 1939.

Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.
Source of acquisition is the Archiwum Akt Nowych w Warszawie, Poland, Sygn.484. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in March 2017. This is a cooperative project based on the agreement between USHMM and Yad Vashem, Israel.
