Biographical History

The Sdruženie fašistickým režimom rasovo prenasledovaných (SRP) was established in the Slovak part of Czechoslovakia towards the end of May 1945. The organization was headquartered in Bratislava. Its Chairman was Dr. Oskar Neumann and the General Secretary was Dr. Vojtech Winterstein. The organization's goals were to foster the collective and individual civil, social, economic and cultural interests of its members, to fight antisemitism, and to help its members rebuild their lives after the war.

Acquisition

Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.

Source of acquisition is the Slovenský národný archív (Slovak National Archives). The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the digitized collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archives Project in May 2016.

Scope and Content

Membership files for the organization, which consisted of, and document the experiences of, Jewish Holocaust survivors in post-war Czechoslovakia, 1945-1950.
