Biographical History
The Katz Ehrenthal Collection is a collection of more than 900 objects depicting Jews and antisemitic and anti-Jewish propaganda from the medieval to the modern era, in Europe, Russia, and the United States. The collection was amassed by Peter Ehrenthal, a Romanian Holocaust survivor, to document the pervasive history of anti-Jewish hatred in Western art, politics and popular culture. It includes crude folk art as well as pieces created by Europe's finest craftsmen, prints and periodical illustrations, posters, paintings, decorative art, and toys and everyday household items decorated with depictions of stereotypical Jewish figures.

Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
Offset color lithograph poster on light brown paper of a blue-gray tinted older Jewish man sitting with his knees bent to his chest with 8 giant, yellow ringed, outlined lice superimposed over his body. His large veined hands are pressed to his chest; 1 clutches his lapel. He has thick eyebrows, long, straight, but unkempt, hair, mustache, and beard, and his heavy lidded eyes look with misery through wireless spectacles. He wears a yarmulke, long, wrinkled overcoat, and ankle boots. On the left, partially hidden behind his shoulder, is a giant, purple and black skull. On the right is a large, blue outined Star of David. The image is within a tilted black rectangle with the Polish title above and below. It is adhered to slightly larger linen backing.
