Biographical History
The Katz Ehrenthal Collection is a collection of more than 900 objects depicting Jews and antisemitic and anti-Jewish propaganda from the medieval to the modern era, in Europe, Russia, and the United States. The collection was amassed by Peter Ehrenthal, a Romanian Holocaust survivor, to document the pervasive history of anti-Jewish hatred in Western art, politics and popular culture. It includes crude folk art as well as pieces created by Europe's finest craftsmen, prints and periodical illustrations, posters, paintings, decorative art, and toys and everyday household items decorated with depictions of stereotypical Jewish figures.

Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
Color lithograph print of a scene with a man in the foreground at center left wearing a brown coat and standing in right profile on the left of a man in a magistrate’s robe and wig with his back to the viewer. They look right toward a man in a blue coat who stands to the left of a partially open door which he pushes against with his left shoulder. A man in a black coat on the other side of the door pulls at it and stands with his back to the viewer in front of a Jewish man wearing a brown robe. He has sidelocks, a large nose, thick lips, and a long beard and leans forward through the doorway. Overhead, a text balloon with English speech trails from each man’s mouth. In the middleground, another man in a magistrate’s robe sits in front of a table at center right. Behind it, a man holds a Bible to his mouth and kisses it with 1 eye shut. Two men standing on the far left look around with tight frowns and narrowed eyes. Through a door behind them, a man sits on a dais in a roughly sketched background. A caption is printed in a yellow panel at the bottom.
