United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Collection, Gift of the Federation of Romanian Jewish Communities, Iași Section

The collection was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2005 by the Federation of Romanian Jewish Communities, Iași Section.

Scope and Content

The collection consists of one framed photograph and one unframed black and white photograph. The unframed photograph depicts a Jewish family with the handwritten inscription on backing, "Tata mort pogrom" (Father died in pogrom). The framed photograph depicts two women who also appear in the first photograph. This collection was retrieved from the main synagogue of Iași, Romania.
