Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements

Postage stamp made of paper, rectangular in shape and approximately 11/16 inches (1.7 cm) by 15/16 in (2.3 cm) in size. The left, bottom and right edges are scalloped; the top is straight. Approximately 1/8 inches (0.3 cm) from the top edge is one horizontal row of small holes. A green inked oval is stamped below this line and slightly off-centered to the left. The green stamp is divided into three sections by an inscription line in the shape of a V that extends from the top left, to the bottom center and then to the top right. On the left side of this inscription line “ZWEI WOCHEN” is stamped from the top left to the bottom center. On the right side of this inscription line “INVALIDENVERS” is stamped from the bottom center to the top right. The bottom left hand section of the green inked stamp contains “VIII”. The bottom right hand section of the stamp contains “480”. The top center section of the stamp features a stylized eagle on top of an encircled swastika. Adhesive is found on the other side. The image from the other side is faintly seen in reverse on adhesive side.
