From there, he was sent on a forced march to Gleiwitz, then was put on a train to Dora-Mittelbau, then sent to Bergen-Belsen, where he was liberated. After the war, he returned to Bicsad and eventually managed to immigrate to Israel, where he fought in the War of Independence and in the Suez war in 1956. In 1961, he and his family immigrated to the United States. Also includes 22 photoprints regarding Mr. Fischer's life and his efforts to commemorate the Holocaust.
