Elwin P. Ware was an attorney for the Farm Credit Administration in Wichita, Kansas and was appointed to represent the United States at the Nuremberg Trials.

United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Collection, Gift of Dennis and Malinda Dillman In memory of Jean D. Dillman who had the foresight to save this letter.

Malinda and Dennis Dillman donated the letter to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 1995.

The letter was written by Elwin P. Ware, representative for the United States at the Nuremberg Trials, to his wife and office staff describing what he saw during a post-liberation tour of Buchenwald concentration camp.
