United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Collection, Gift of Leon Leiberg

Anna Hoffman was married to Leon Leiberg's father, Konrad Leiberg, in 1936 in Vienna, Austria. The identity card was found in the archives of the Maline camp, abandoned by the retreating Germans, and kept there by Belgian authorities, in Brussels after World War II, and obtained by Leon Leiberg during a visit and search of information from the archivist.

Contains a Belgian identity card for Anna Hoffman. Anna Hoffman was born on March 2, 1891 in Cernauti, Ukraine, and was arrested by the Gestapo in Brussels, Belgium, on March 3, 1943. She was sent to the Malines transit camp and deported by the 20th convoy to Auschwitz where she was gassed on arrival.
