Acquisition
Created by an unknown photographer in Dachau in 1945. The photographs were originally owned by Richard D. Coombes, the donor's father, who served in the United States 3rd Army during World War II and were donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum by Bonnie Seitz in 1988.
Scope and Content
The collection consists of 50 photographs of the liberation of Dachau concentration camp by United States troops as well as landscape shots of Germany, of military actions, and of celebrity entertainers such as Bob Hope and Frances Langford.
