This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.
Source of acquisition is the Jüdische Gemeinde Hamburg, Germany. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the microfilms in Jan. 2003.
Scope and Content
Contains community records of five main Jewish communities in Germany: Münster, Oldenburg, Detmold, Lippe, and Lübeck. It includes correspondence with the Centralverein, the Reichsvertretung, and other organizations; and records relating to financial and social welfare matters within these Jewish communities.
