Biographical History
Sonja DuBois was born Claartje van Thijn to Maurits and Sophie van Thijn who placed her in hiding before they were deported to Auschwitz where they perished. Sonja van der Kaden was the name given to Sonja in hiding.

The collection was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2004 by Sonja DuBois.

The papers consist of 2 documents illustrating the experiences of Sonja DuBois during the Holocaust as a hidden child in the Netherlands.
