Acquisition

The issue of "The Stars and Stripes" was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives by Lydia D. Bonini via her son, Raul P. Rodriguez, in Oct. 1994. It was donated on behalf of Mrs. Bonini's late husband, Angelo T. Bonini, Jr.

Scope and Content

Consists of the 23 April 1945 issue of "The Stars and Stripes", the daily newspaper of the US Armed Forces in the European Theater. It contains articles relating to the liberation of the concentration camps.
