Captain Dorothy Marble, is a native of Maine. She joined the U.S. Army during World War II and was assigned to a general's staff as a journalist. Coverage of war crimes trials was among her projects. She died shortly after the end of World War II.

Acquisition

Robert L. Halterman found the report, written by his aunt, Dorothy Marble, while going through the papers belonging to his mother. He donated them to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives in Apr. 1993.

Scope and Content

Contains a report written by Captain Dorothy Marble, dated 17 August 1947, describing her impressions during sentencing of Nazi war criminals who were tried for crimes at Buchenwald, Also contains an undated newspaper article relating to Dorothy Marble.
