Acquisition
"Viata Evreilor din Bucuresti, 1940-1944" ("The Life of the Jews in Bucharest, 1940-1944") was written and typed by Eliza Campus in December of 1989. An excerpt of this history was printed in Revista Istorica, nr. 3-4, 1992. Eliza Campus donated a copy of her manuscript and a reprint of the excerpt (kept in the donor file) to the USHMMA in Mar. 1993.
Scope and Content
Consists of an article entitled “The Life of the Jews in Bucharest, 1940–1944,” which contains information about Jewish schools, Jewish emigration, antisemitism, and Zionist activities undertaken by the Jews of Bucharest. Included is an excerpt of this history that was printed in Revista Istorica, nr. 3–4, 1992.
