Irving Gersten was a 1st lieutenant with the 5th U.S. Armored Division and served in France and Germany during World War II. Gersten presently resides in Stockton, Calif.

The testimony was written by Irving Gersten in 1989 and donated to the United States Holocaust Research Institute Archives via Linda Kuzmack of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Oral History Department in July 1991.

Consists of a copy of a liberation testimony written by Irving Gersten. The testimony describes Gersten's experiences as a Jewish-American soldier who participated in the liberation of France while serving with the 5th United States Armored Division.
