A copy of the script was made and given to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in July 1992 by Bret Werb, who had obtained his copy from the Billy Rose Theatre Collection at the New York Public Library. Werb does not know whether the copy in the Rose Collection came from Kurt Weill, who wrote the musical score to the play; Weill's name appears on the cover page.
