Acquisition

The documents were obtained by Gertrude Kaufman after the death of Hermann Katz donor's uncle. They were donated first to the Collections department of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and then transferred to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives on 13 Aug. 1991 by Lisa Toplemann of the Collections department.

Scope and Content

Contains various documents relating to Hermann Katz during the Holocaust. Among the topics covered in the documents are Katz's emigration attempts prior to the Holocaust, his imprisonment at Westerbork concentration camp, and his liberation from Westerbork.
