Biographical History

Fay Walker was born on 19 Apr. 1920 in Kanczuga, Poland. She survived the Holocaust by hiding in several homes and fleeing the Soviet Union. She married and immigrated to the United States in 1947.

Acquisition

Fay Walker completed two copies of "My memories, 1939-1945," one for herself and one for Yad Vashem. A duplicate of Ms. Walker's personal copy was received in the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives on 06 Feb. 1992.

Scope and Content

Consists of a copy of "My memories, 1939-1945," by Fay Walker. The testimony describes Walker's memories of the German invasion of Poland, her life in hiding, the murder of family members, persecution by the Soviets, the reunion with her brother late in World War II, and her immigration to the United States.
