Casper Vollero, a member of the 406th Infantry Division, Company L, Ozark Division, took these photographs at the liberation of the Buchenwald concentration camp.

Acquisition
The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the collection by transfer from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Collections Department in Sept. 1995. The Collections Department received the photographs from Casper Vollero.
Scope and Content
Contains three photographs of the Buchenwald concentration camp at liberation. One photograph shows a concentration camp oven and two photographs show a large pile of corpses in front of a building.
