Acquisition

Joseph Zamora sent the memoir in response to a The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum questionnaire he received for the Year 2000 displaced persons camp project. The Museum's Archives received a revised copy of Joseph Zamora's memoir on May 10, 1999.

Scope and Content

Testimony, typescript (photocopy), 28 pages. Author discusses origins in Greiz (Thuringia), escape in 1940 for Yugoslavia but ends up in Italy instead, until arrested, sent to Fossoli, and then Auschwitz.
