The commemorative medallion was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2014 by Tara Barenok, the great-niece of David F. Busch.

Scope and Content

The commemorative medallion was retreived by PFC David F. Busch, an American soldier who was stationed in Europe during WWII. It commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Leipzig-Dresden railway, April 24, 1937.

Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements

Circular terra cotta colored clay medallion with an image of a train one onse side surrounded by the words "Leipzig-Dresdener Eisenbahn 100 Jahre." The other side has an eagle and swastika surrounded by the words "24 April 1837" and "24 April 1937."
