The photographs were donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum by Helen Dore in 2014

Scope and Content

Contains two photographs. The first, dated 1942 in Lukow, Poland, depicts members of Reserve Police Battalion 101 publicly humiliating a Jewish man by forcing him to pose in a prayer shawl in a crouching position with his hands up; the other a black and white image of German police and SS officers cutting the sidelocks of the son of a local rabbi; the father and son were reportedly hanged along with eight others soon after; inscription on verso; image dated 1939 - 1940 in Sieradz, Poland.
