Theresa Liu Flaherty donated Sylvia Apfelbojm's forced labor identification card to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in September 2011.
Scope and Content
Contains one identification card, used for forced laborers ("Ausweis für Arbeitsjuden) issued to Sylvia Apfelbojm by the German Sicherheitspolizei and Sicherheitsdienst in Drohobycz, Galicia, 1944. The card, which lists Apfelbojm's occupation as a pianist, shows her to have worked for various companies, including a uniform manufacturing company in Boryslaw, a branch of the Siemens corporation in Lwow, and the street car agency in Tarnopol, from March through June 1944.
