Biographical History
The interview with Vessilin Venkov was conducted on May 21, 1992 by Roy and Anne Freed as part of a project documenting the testimonies of individuals who witnessed the Bulgarians' frustration of the Nazi demand for the deportation of their 50,000 Jews. The interview was received by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in January 1994.
