Acquisition
Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.
Source of acquisition is the Budapest Főváros Levéltára, BFL (Budapest City Archives), Record Group BFL IV. 1402-1429. In 2006 and 2007 upon the request of United States Holocaust Memorial Museum archivists of BFL conducted systematic survey in the collection, and selected records pertaining to the Holocaust for microfilming. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in 2008.
Scope and Content
Collection contains correspondence, meeting minutes, applications, decisions, letters of denunciation, and other documents. Topics include the military, commerce, public health, and transport; the Jewish community and Zionist organizations; citizenship and residence questions; appointments, dismissals, and retirements; disciplinary actions; charitable work; and the confiscation and redistribution of Jewish property.
