Scope and Content
10 reichspfennig [empire penny] coin, with 100 reichspfennig equalling 1 reichsmark, issued for use by the government of the Third Reich, Nazi Germany. From 1940-May 1945, when Germany surrendered and ended World War II in Europe, the coin was struck in zInc as a cost saving measure for the war, in all seven of the Reich mints.

Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
Circular, silver colored zinc coin, with black corrosion, with a plain edge, embossed on the front with the Nazi symbol of an eagle facing right, holding an enwreathed swastika, and the year. Embossed on the back is the denomination 10 in the center with a mint mark A below, between a pair of oak leaves, with German text circling near the rim at the top.
