Scope and Content
Otto Ohlendorf testifying, most likely in Munich. Ohlendorf talks about his work in the SD-Inland and his role as leader of Einsatzgruppe D. Brief shot of Telford Taylor. This is likely footage of Case 6, the I.G. Farben Case.
Note(s)
NARA story card indicates that this is Case 9, the Einsatzgruppen trial. However, this footage is NOT from the Einsatzgruppen trial, according to CAHS fellow and historian Hilary Earl. According to J. Jorge Sanchez, the author of the novel "El informe Ohlendorf", it is very probable that this testimony of Ohlendorf is from the IG Farben trial. For example: 1) The testimony of Ohlendorf is recorded as part of the IG Farben trial in the mimeographed transcript on 2 December 1947, pp. 4499-4510. (Trials of War Criminals Before the Nuremberg Military Tribunals, Vol. VII, p.645). It's a date near to the "official" date of the film catalog card from NARA. 2) The map behind Ohlendorf is the same that was used in the IG Farben Trial.
