Scope and Content

Herdenking opstand in Ghetto Warschau. 18 april in Warschau en 21 april in de Verenigde Staten, resp. in tegenwoordigheid van Pres. Cyrankiewicz en Pres. Kennedy, wordt een officiële herdenking gehouden van de opstand in april 1943 in het ghetto in Warschau. Van de daar levende 400.000 Joden waren er toen nog maar 70.000 over, die zonder hulpmiddelen, doch met de moed der wanhoop zich 3 weken staande hielden tegen de zwaar bewapende Nazi-bende. 40.000 werden daarbij òf vermoord, òf op afschuwelijke wijze in de gaskamers omgebracht. Razzia in het Warschause ghetto.
