Scope and Content
The publication provides a historical overview of the Jewish reform movement in France in the 19th century and resulting tensions with the orthodox community. The efforts of Gershon-Levy and others to advance the movement are described. They culminated in the founding of the "Union liberale Israelite" and the inauguration of its temple on December 1st, 1907. Presently it has room for 450 pax. It publishes two papers called "Le Rayon" and "Le Petit Rayon".
