Scope and Content
The publication provides an historical overview of Jewish life in Sweden. The Jewish community can be considered to be among the most liberal in Europe. Organ, songs, the use of the Swedish language and female emancipation had already been become part of Jewish religious service in the 19th century. The problem of intermarriage is addressed. The relationship between Christians and Jews is a fruitful one.
