Scope and Content
The pamphlet is a reprint of a speech held for the General assembly of the association of synagogues in East Prussia (Verband der Synagogen Gemeinden Ostpreussens) on August 24th, 1880, by Rabbi Dr. Bamberger. In his speech the rabbi emphasizes the importance of community and the three pillars of faith – Tora, Work and Charity. The other part of faith is outwards – spreading the faith to everyone by honoring God and his name as an inspiration for others. On the last page penciled notes in German are visible.
