Scope and Content
Short publication in which the author gives an overview of rising antisemitism in and around Hannover from its emerging stage around 1883 to the rise of the antisemitic member of parliament, Liebermann v. Sonnenberg, in 1893. In a lecture in front of 1000 guests Sonnenberg asks rhetorically if Talmud morals are compatible with German law, and answers with an affirmative “No”. The author then analyses his speech and refutes each argument made. Writings by A. Rohling are dealt with in the same manner.
