The booklet is part of a series on famous Germans and their view on Judaism. The life of Heinrich Friedrich von und zum Stein (1757-1831) is analyzed, the changing biographies, his views on Judaism, and its influence. He limited the influence of middlemen in the war economy in Westphalia (David Ephraim). A number of Stein’s quotes on various subjects are listed and analyzed. A bibliography of writings on Stein is included together with a list of the newest publications.
