Scope and Content

The book is an excerpt from Friedrich Fritsch’s Anti-Semite catechism. It explains the term “Anti-Semite”. It is not based on religion but on race. The author claims that even in the Middle Ages Jews were not persecuted because of their religion but because of usury. Anti-Semites want to reduce Jewish influence through laws. Various questions in the defense of Jews are raised and the author counters them. Finally, the author muses about possible alternatives to solve the “Jewish question”: a country of their own; or restricting Jews to work in agriculture or crafts with only Jewish employees.
