The crash of 1873 and its causes are analyzed. The dealings of Baron Hirsch in the Balkan and Turkey is described. The suicide note of the Austro-Hungarian ambassador in Paris, Graf Wimpffen, to Baron Hirsch is reprinted. The next chapter discusses the history of the Kasar empire. It explains various business practices and association in the past like the Hanse, and compares them favorably to Jewish business dealings.
