Scope and Content

Foreword by by antisemitic writer Hermann Ahlwardt describes his court proceedings on the subject of “Judenflinten” I a. II (Jewish Rifles). He explains how he and others were put under pressure by Jewish groups to rescind his claims about the sale of alleged faulty rifles to the German army by Ludwig Loewe & Co. The second part concerns the dealings of Loewe in Austro-Hungary where the government also bought rifles from Loewe for the Hungarian army. Correspondence between Loewe and Greenwood & Bailey from May 1890 is included that complains about mismatched or faulty shipped equipment to its factory. A commission created by the Hungarian minister, Fejavarnc, concluded that Loewe was not in the position to deliver functioning rifles. Antisemitic publications on various topics are promoted at the end of the booklet.
