Scope and Content

Several documents containing conversation between RFSS, SD Hauptamt (Security Service, Main Security Office), department II/2 and SD Oberabschnitt West (Security Service Senior District West) from October/November 1936 concerning a lecture by Carl Schmitt at the Verwaltungsakademie Bochum (Bochum Academy of Administration) about "Führergrundsatz in der Rechtspflege" ("The principle of a leader in the administration of justice") on October 15th, 1936. Some of the documents are stained, blurred or not readable because of poor handwriting, partly there are signatures or titles of the persons signing missing. The Main Security Office had ordered to report about the lecture and received a detailed accoun: Schmitt emphasized the importance of the principle of a leader as the basic formative principle both in all public life and in the administration of justice. He pointed out the importance of fighting against Jewry in fighting for justice and against the Jewish corrosive spirit of negation. The last page is a note from department II/2 informing about a reorganization of the Akademie für deutsches Recht (Academy for German law: Schmitt will not be of any influence, he declared to be willing to work together with the SS. It is important to increase the influence within the academy: Stuckart will be head of the department "Volk und Reich", Krieck and C. should also become members of the academy. Boards with prior importance are: criminal law, police law, administrative law and "Reichsreform".
