Scope and Content
The file contains four circulars (“Rundschreiben”) by the United Restitution Organization (Frankfurt) from October and November 1971. The circulars include the following issues: no. 1734, no. 1733, no. 1732, and no. 1731. They mainly deal with recent court judgements made by the German Federal Court (Bundesgerichtshof) on questions of restitution after Nazi persecution, especially regarding juridical regulations and procedures for health damages following Nazi persecution. The issues focus on questions regarding the employment situation resulting from health damages, but also on the obligation to substantiate the claims, and on pensions. The topics include: „Gesundheitsschaden, hier: Schädigung vor Erwerbstätigkeit“ and „Gesundheitsschaden, hier: Angleichung“, „Substantiierungs-Pflicht“, „Rentenkonkurrenz“.
