Scope and Content
The file contains five circulars (“Rundschreiben”) by the United Restitution Organization (Frankfurt) from October 1971. The circulars include the following issues: no. 1730, no. 1729, no. 1728, no. 1727, and no. 1726. They mainly deal with recent court judgements made by the German Federal Court (Bundesgerichtshof) on questions of restitution after Nazi persecution, especially regarding juridical regulations and procedures for professional damages following Nazi persecution in Hungary. Furthermore, the issues are focusing on the percentage of pensions and on the problem of “overtaking causations”. The topics include: „Hundertsatz der Gesundheitsrente“ and „Überholende Kausalität“, „Berufsschaden, hier: Schädigung in Ungarn“, „Anfechtung eines Abgeltungsvergleichs“, „Hundertsatz“.
