Scope and Content

The file contains five circulars (“Rundschreiben”) by the United Restitution Organization (Frankfurt) from May and July 1966. The circulars include the following issues: no. 1422, no. 1423, no. 1415, no. 1413, and no. 1412. They mainly deal with recent court judgements on questions of restitution, especially regarding juridical regulations, professional disadvantages following Nazi persecution, the restitution for victims of Nazi persecution living abroad (“diplomatische Klausel”), and restitution for the murder of family members.
