Scope and Content

The Ludwig Dische papers are a collection of letters, drafts, copies, newspaper clips and biographical material about famous Jews from Czernowitz, Bukovina. The file includes handwritten notes on the history of Austria and the Bukovina. Some of the notes are crossed out or hard to read. The notes mainly deal with Eduard Fischer and his book "Krieg ohne heer: meine Verteidigung der Bukowina gegen die Russen", and notes about the order of Maria-Theresia.
