Scope and Content

The Ludwig Dische papers are a collection of letters, drafts, copies, newspaper clips and biographical material about famous Jews from Czernowitz, Bukovina. The file contains newspaper articles about Paul Celan. The articles from "Die Stimme" are an obituary of Paul Celan (June 1970) and reactions to his death (August 1970). The article from "Die Presse" talks about his last poems (August 12th, 1970). Another article from "Die Presse" from December 16th, 1975 discusses the work of Celan in the context of his multicultural background.
