Scope and Content
The Ludwig Dische papers are a collection of letters, drafts, copies, newspaper clips and biographical material about famous Jews from Czernowitz, Bukovina. Handwritten notes about the life and works of Georg Drozdowski, a Bukovinian writer (some pages are crossed out). Copies of the Handschreiben der Stifterbibliothek Nr. 32/ August 1958 (handwritings of the founding library) about Georg Drozdowski, includes biographical information and poems. Special print of “Carinthia I” from 1958 - “Zwischen den Herzogtümern” (Between the Duchies) by Georg Drozdowski. Reflections on Bukovina and Carinthia, two duchies at the borders of the empire, one in the West, the other in the East. Autobiographical musings including poems.
