Scope and Content

“Vollstreckte Todesurteile im Zuchthaus Brandenburg” is written on the cover sheet of the file which contains a list of executed death sentences in Brandenburg-Görden Prison. The cover sheet also gives information about the amount of executions: 467 people were sentenced to death between January 1st - July 31nd 1944, and 834 in the time between February 2nd - April 10th 1945. The killings are sorted by date, the victims’ names appear together with a short information about their marital status, time and place of birth as well as their profession.
