Scope and Content
The file contains the charges against Brigitte Steiner (22 March 1916 in Szobathely), Rosa Sedlaček (born on 23 September 1889 in Krisch), Emma Šlouf (born on 25 December 1904 in Pilsen), Beytrix Blaha (born on 4 May 1903 in Pilsen), Josef Tuzar (born on 27 March 1911 in Prague), Erich Krause (born on 16 June 1900 in Edersgrün) and Ludwig Wallner (born on 26 March 1897 in Hohenmauth). In 1943 Leo Meisl, a Jewish man, was supposed to be deported. However, Meisl fled with his wife to the defendant Steiner asking her for help. Steiner then arranged for the couple to stay with the defendant Sedlaček without informing her of their situation. The couple stayed with Sedlaček for several months before asking the defendant Šlouf to arrange a new apartment. Šlouf proceeded to ask Beytrix Blaha to take in the couple. Blaha accepted them but later argued not having known about their circumstances. After leaving this apartment Meisl and his wife went on to stay with the defendant Tuzar until their arrest in July 1944. The defendant Krause was in contact with Meisl but did not report him knowing he was in hiding. The defendant Wallner met Meisl as well as another man who had escaped from Auschwitz and did not report to the police. All defendants were charged with having committed sabotage since 1943 by supporting "enemies of the empire" and not reporting them.
