Scope and Content

The file contains the verdict of Eduard Ressel (born on 20 March 1904 in Bernsdorf), a man from the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. Ressel was accused of illegally owning a gun and 24 rounds of ammunition. The defendant bought the gun in 1939 and kept it in his home for years. He ultimately moved the weapon in his partner's apartment where it was found during a house search in 1944. According to the document Ressel had been arrrested several times before, a fact that influenced the verdict. The defendant was found guilty an sentenced to death in 1944.
