Scope and Content

The file contains the verdict of Bohuslav Mordych (born on 16 May 1913 in Trebitsch) and twelve other defendants. The defendants were accused of various war economy crimes. Bohuslav Mordych was found guilty of illicit trade, illegal slaughter, profiteering and slaughter tax evasion for which he was sentenced to death in 1942. Josef Novak was sentenced to three years of penitentiary for being complicit in illicit trade and illegal slaughter. For the same crime Franz Tuma was sentenced to two years and six months of penitentiary. Rudolf Hajek received a sentence of two years of penitentiary for illicit trade and profiteering. Josef Ošmera was sentenced to three years of penitentiary for illicit trade, illegal slaughter, profiteering and slaughter tax evasion. Franz Svoboda was found guilty of illicit trade, illegal slaughter and profiteering and sentenced to three years and six months of penitentiary. Rudolf Škoda was sentenced to two years of penitentiary for being complicit in illicit trade and illegal slaughter. Emil Micek received a sentence of two years of penitentiary in connection with illicit trade and profiteering. Josef Frühwirt was sentenced to three years of penitentiary for illicit trade and profiteering. The defendants Anton Hutaf and Josef Hutaf were found guilty of the same crime and also sentenced to three years of penitentiary. Josef Braunschläger was sentenced to one year and six months of penitentiary for war economy crimes. Concerning the defendant Josef Novak jr. the special court declined jurisdiction.
