The files contains the verdict and the dismissed request for amnesty of Ludwig Bayer (born on 18 February 1916 in Oprovko). The defendant was found guilty of helping and accommodating escaped prisoners of war. In May or June of 1941 an English escapee asked the defendant for cigarettes – not only did he give him cigarettes, but also food. Moreover, in the night from the 27th to the 28th of September Ludwig Bayer accommodated two Russian escaped prisoners of war in his barn. He was sentenced to death.
