Scope and Content

The file contains two different trial transcripts; 11 defendants accused of helping an enemy of the Reich were put on trial in June of 1943. However, this case was annuled by the attorney general and reopened in court in May 1944 - only five defendants' verdicts were reassessed. The following list contains information (name and date/place of birth) about the 11 defendants who were put under trial on June 29 1943, the crime they are accused of and their verdicts: Theresie Kalousek (born on 20 September 1904 in Wildenschwert) – Helping an Enemy of the Reich – Seven Years in a Penitentiary; Marie Pavlas (born on 23 January 1909 in Wildenschwert) – Helping an Enemy of the Reich – Five Years in a Penitentiary; Viktorie Kroupa (born on 3 October 1895 in Wildenschwert) – Helping an Enemy of the Reich – Death Penalty; Marie Pikula (born on 31 August 1914 in Gross Meseritsch) – Helping an Enemy of the Reich – Three Years in a Penitentiary; Rosa Chudy (born on 16 August 1915 in Gersdorf) – Helping an Enemy of the Reich – Two Years in a Penitentiary; Ludwig Chudy (born on 5 August 1911 in Brandeis) – Helping an Enemy of the Reich – One Year in a Penitentiary; Gottlieb Dostal (born on 9 September 1906 in Halbendorf) – Helping an Enemy of the Reich – Three Years in a Penitentiary; Johann Sisler (born on 1 September 1909 in Dolny Dobrouc) – Acquittal; Marie Pavek (born on 17 February 1900 in Rajec) – Non-Notification of Hostile Actions – Eight Months in Jail; Josef Simek (born on 29 December 1905 in Gross-Ritte) – Helping an Enemy of the Reich – Two Years in a Penitentiary; Ludmilla Simek (born on 24 September 1907 in Gross-Ritte) – Helping an Enemy of the Reich – Two Years in a Penitentiary. The second trial (17 May 1944) reassessed the verdicts of five defendants: Theresie Kalousek, Marie Pavlas and Marie Pikula were sentenced to death. Rosa Chudy and Gottlieb Dostal were both punished with three years in a penitentiary.
